When linking create powerful anchor and descriptive text

A link is essentially a free advertisement on someone else's site pointing back to yours. So when submitting your link information, write it like a well-thought-out advertisement. Here are some guidelines. 1. Give your link text some length -- at least two sentences. If all "link pages" consisted of a short paragraph or two instead of five or six words, these link pages would have "content" and be more valuable. Most webmasters want substance (content) instead of one or two word descriptions. This will also make your listing stand out from the crowd. 2. Pack your link text with your most important keywords. You don't have to "hype" you site. Just pack your description with your most important information. This is called creating a keyword-rich "context". 3. Make sure your "anchor text" includes your most important keyword. The search engines considers this important because the text that is linked is an indicator of the theme of the site being pointed to. Each time a site is pointed to with a link that says "golden retrievers" that site's importance as a "golden retriever" site is reinforced. See the examples at the end of this post. 4. Create more than one version of this link text. A long one should be roughly 200 characters. A short one might be less than 100 characters. Having two or three different versions and lengths of your link text ready to go will make your life a lot easier when it comes to actually placing your links. 5. Mix up your anchor text. If you are doing some serious link work, trying to create hundreds, even thousands of inbound links, don't use the same anchor text all the time. The Search Engines may interpret repetition of the same link patterns as "unnatural" and manipulative. So use different versions of your anchor text and create different link text "contexts". Concentrate on building keyword-rich contexts in which your subject matter is clearly stated and your links can be clearly associated with the subject matter that is most "relevant" to your site. This is the best way to insure they will create an impact.

Unique content is your key to success

As you search around this article site looking for articles to add to your website, consider this: there are probably 10 people like yourself doing the same exact thing. Not only are they doing the same exact thing, but they are probably looking at, and taking the same articles you are considering to add to their site. Wow. That’s going to do wonders for your hopes to have search engines pick up these new articles and rank your site high in the search engine result pages (S. E.R. P’s). Forgive my brevity, but I was being sarcastic! Shared articles may be good for putting together quick sites and heavily promoting the same article content that everyone else is promoting, but who are we kidding? Wouldn’t you rather have fresh content NOT picked over by everyone else? Of course you would. Now why should you pay for it when you’re staring at a free article site filled with 100’s of articles that you can use at this exact moment? Because you CAN buy originality and have original content rank higher than the same old retread articles found over and over again on sites like this! Not only would you have a unique page indexed on the internet and crawled by search engines (sometimes daily), but if you had the right content service at your beck and call, you could be provided with professionally written content reserved for trade publications and offline magazines! There are 1000’s of professional writers out there on the Internet which are willing and able to write your next piece of web content. Ok, so to go over the key points: • Copied articles used over and over again - not so good since the search engines may pick up someone else’s copy of the same exact article. Cost effective since it’s free! You get what you pay for. • Fresh, unique articles - very good usage since it gives the search engines something new to eat up! You get what you pay for. • Do your research. Find a writer who is professional and understands your subject!

Be informed when you purchase a computer

When you go online or look at ads for electronics stores, you will probably be able to find a computer that will be just right for you. There are many types and styles available on the market. You can find a computer that will take up a whole room in your house, while you can also find a computer that will fit into the palm of your hand! At a business, you will probably find a mainframe computer. In your workplace or at home you will normally find a desktop computer. In the airport, the person sitting next to you could be working on a laptop computer or handheld computer. So, when you find yourself looking for a computer for your own personal use, you know you will have a lot to choose from. When looking for a home computer, nowadays called a personal computer, you will find it is made up of several parts. There will be a box sitting on your desk, black, gray or beige in color. This is your actual computer, containing everything from the microprocessor to the memory, the storage to the input/output devices. You can’t work with just the “computer” alone, though. There are accessories that go along with your computer like the monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. Other attachments you might find are printers and digital video cameras. If you want to buy a computer, it is good to know that there are two separate categories of computers: PCs and Macs. - A PC is a computer modeled after components and standards created by the IBM Company. A rather high percentage of all personal computers, shown at somewhere over 90%, are PCs. Some companies that sell PC computers are IBM, Dell, Compac, and Gateway. - A Mac computer is a personal computer made by the Apple Company. MacIntosh was its most popular style of computer several years ago. The new IMacs are popular with die-hard Mac fans, although not as many people today use Mac computers as used to. A personal computer in your home can be used for many things, including word processing chores, personal and business letter writing, financial records and planning, internet searching, photography, and many other types of functions like graphic design and publishing. For the younger crowd, a personal computer can also be used to listen to music, watch movies or play detailed video games. The basic elements of your personal computer that you choose, like the processor, amount of RAM, floppy or CD-Rom disk drives, hard disk drive, sound card, speakers, monitor, modem and graphics card will be determined by what kind of computer user you plan to be. Heavy users of complex programs will need much more “stuff” on their computer than the average computer user. Once you’ve determined how much of everything you need, you will be able to calculate an average cost for the computer you want.

Traffic exchanges do they work for you

: Traffic exchanges, also known as hit exchanges and start exchanges, are a very simple means of driving traffic to a website.Being in a traffic exchange is like being in a club. You surf, using a specially designed “surf bar” unique to the traffic exchange in question, and view the other club member’s websites. Every time you view a website you get a credit, or a point, and these are exchanged for visitors who view your website. Normally there is a “ratio” involved and - for free members - it is often one return visitor for every two websites that you view. Most exchanges are free to join but many have a “pro upgrade” option where you can get a better view/return view ratio (say 1:1) for a monthly fee, typically a few dollars a month. The large majority of members in the typical exchange are free members.Traffic exchanges are much maligned – there are many who will tell you that they don’t work. One of the main reasons cited for this is the fact that most of the traffic exchange members are members of the exchange primarily because they are already promoting a business opportunity or product of their own.Whilst this is almost certainly true it does not necessarily mean that they will not be interested in what you are promoting. If you are offering either an informational product or any kind of tool which could be used to enhance an already existing business then the members of traffic exchanges could very well be an excellent target market for you.For example, if you have an e-zine newsletter aimed at online marketers, then traffic exchanges could offer you very rich pickings indeed. One of the most common mistakes is to sign up for an affiliate scheme and then use the standard website that comes with the program on traffic exchanges. This is a waste of time as the exchange members will not have enough time to view the typical information rich affiliate website. It is also likely that there will be several others promoting the exact same website on any given exchange – so your site will blend in to the background and will have little, if any, impact. However, just by following the guidelines below you can use traffic exchanges to build your opt-in list and then follow up later with your affiliate offerings.1. Don’t use the standard page that came with your affiliate programme. It has too much information and will confuse viewers. There are probably many other people advertising this page.2. Use a specially designed gateway page unique to you.Keep it clean and unclutteredFocus on benefits.Five or six bullet points only.Stand out from the crowd.3. Use a pop-up or pop-in for emphasis.4. Give away a free bonus for signing up.A free e-book.A free report.A free newsletter.5. Collect e-mail addresses for follow up.Feed them into an autoresponder.Put them into your newsletter list.6. Customise your gateway page for the exchange you're using.Have a special message for your visitor –“Traffic Swarm user bonus….”"Webmaster Quest bonus..."7.Monitor your results and don’t waste time with exchanges that don’t deliver.8. Don’t persevere with an unproductive campaign for too long. Let your campaign run for 4 weeks max and then experiment if you aren’t seeing results.9. Advertise on a number of different exchanges to ensure a wide range of visitors.Don’t waste hours every day clicking on traffic exchanges – they are only one method for growing your list and you should be using a number of different techniques. However, using the above rules, it should be possible to achieve double digit signups to your opt-in list or newsletter on a daily basis.
